Hotel Pick-Up in Cusco

Our friendly guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. After a brief introduction, you’ll join your group and begin your cultural journey through one of Peru’s most historic cities.

Explore the Cusco Cathedral

Next, head to the Cusco Cathedral in the Plaza de Armas. This UNESCO World Heritage site is filled with colonial art, baroque altars, and religious treasures, showcasing the blend of Andean and Spanish influences.

Visit to Qorikancha – The Temple of the Sun

Your first stop is Qorikancha, once the most important temple in the Inca Empire, dedicated to Inti, the Sun God. Learn how the Spaniards built the Santo Domingo Convent on top of this sacred site, creating a stunning fusion of Inca and colonial architecture.

Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Site

Continue to the majestic ruins of Sacsayhuamán, a masterpiece of Inca engineering with massive stone walls overlooking Cusco. Capture panoramic photos and uncover the site’s significance during Inca festivals and battles.

Qenqo.

Another 1.5km from Sacsayhuaman is Qenqo. This archeological complex was an Inca ceremonial cult center. The name may have derived after the small yet intricate network of underground passageways that make up the site. It´s fascinating making your way through them all.

The most prominent feature of this site is an open space called the amphitheater. Hundreds of years ago, you would have found Inca mummies in the 19 trapezoidal niches found here. Toda, the amphitheater is only half of its original height.

Puca Pucara

Puca Pucara is a notable site. The Inca soldiers used to safeguard and keep away intruders from the top of this massive rock. In Quechua, Puca Pucara means red rock. It is named after the color it bears at dusk.

Tambomachay

We will then visit Tambomachay. It was more like a spa to the political elite of the Inca empire. There are aqueducts which were built during the Spanish era. Even today these aqueducts continue to serve.

After the tour, we will be driving you back to Cusco city. We will be dropping you off near the main square of Cusco, Plaza de Armas.
