Itinerary
DAY 1: Lima, Peru
Welcome to Peru! Upon your arrival at Jorge Chavez International Airport, a representative from our company will be there to greet you and accompany you to your hotel. We offer assistance with the check-in process as well as provide you with an overview of the program for your stay.
After a few hours, we will embark on a comprehensive city tour of both colonial and contemporary Lima. Our first stop will be Huaca Pucllana, an impressive Pre-Incan ceremonial and administrative structure. We will then visit significant landmarks such as the Cathedral of Lima, which houses Francisco Pizarro’s Tomb, the San Francisco Monastery Catacombs, the National Congress, and the Torre Tagle Palace.
The tour continues downtown with visits to San Isidro and Miraflores, two vibrant neighborhoods known for their stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. To conclude our exploration of Lima’s rich culture and history, we will take you to a popular park in the bustling business district, where you can indulge in some delectable Peruvian cuisine.

Day 2. Lima to Cusco
Explore the breathtaking archaeological sites of Cusco with our customary city tour. Your day will begin with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in the morning, followed by a short flight from Lima to Cusco. In just an hour and ten minutes, you will arrive at the Inca homeland, situated 11,200 feet above sea level in Peru’s highland region.
At the airport, our dedicated personnel from Magical Peru Expeditions will warmly welcome you and guide you to your hotel. After settling in, we will commence our tour of Cusco between 13:00 and 13:20 local time.
Our first stop is the spectacular Cathedral of Cusco, located on Plaza de Armas. This magnificent structure showcases a remarkable collection of paintings and boasts Renaissance architecture that leaves visitors in awe. From there, we will visit Qorikancha, also known as “The Temple of the Sun,” which stands as one of the most remarkable Incan buildings in Cusco.
Continuing our journey, you will have the opportunity to explore outstanding Inca archaeological complexes such as Sacsayhuaman, Q’enko, PukaPukara, and Tambomachay. These sites offer a glimpse into the rich history and cultural legacy left behind by the Incas.
As we conclude our city tour on the main square of Cusco, you can discuss with your guide any specific activities or preferences for rest of the day. Whether it’s returning to your hotel or indulging in a delightful dinner at one of the many fantastic restaurants nearby, we’ll ensure that your desires are fulfilled.

DAY 3: Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our transportation will pick you up between 8:00 and 08:20, and our first stop will be the astonishing Incan archaeological site of Pisaq. Marvel at the terraced fields and immerse yourself in the rich history of this sacred place.
Pisaq is not only known for its impressive ruins but also for its diverse crops, including various types of corn, kiwicha, and potatoes. Take some time to explore the traditional market, renowned for its exquisite handicrafts made by local artisans. Step back in time, as little has changed in this town over the past three centuries.
Next, we will journey to Urubamba, one of the primary agricultural centers during the Incan era due to its unique geography and favorable climate. Surrounded by the majestic Andes Mountains, we will delight in an excellent buffet lunch that showcases the flavors of this region.
After lunch, we will continue our adventure to Ollantaytambo, an impressive Incan settlement that still stands today thanks to the ingenuity of several Incan emperors. Marvel at these ancient structures as you explore this remarkable archaeological site.
To conclude our day’s journey, we will escort you to the train station, where you’ll board a train bound for Aguas Calientes. Our friendly staff will be waiting for you upon arrival and will assist you with transferring to your hotel. Spend a restful night in Aguas Calientes, as dinner is included along with lunch and breakfast throughout the day.
DAY 4: Cusco to Machu Picchu train return to Cusco
Experience the wonders of Machu Picchu with our exclusive private tour. Starting early in the morning, we will guide you through this revered Incan stronghold for a 2-hour exploration of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Immerse yourself in the many diverse areas of the city, including the Main Plaza, Circular Tower, Sacred Sundial, Royal Quarters, Temple of Three Windows, and ancient graves. Uncover the mysteries and magic that surround this sacred Incan citadel.
For those with tickets to enter, you have the opportunity to climb Wayna Picchu Mountain for a panoramic view of Machu Picchu. Please let us know in advance if you plan on taking this awe-inspiring hike, as only 400 seats are available per day. Please note that entrance to Wayna Picchu is not included in our package.
After our unforgettable tour, we will return to Aguas Calientes where we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at either the restaurant near Machu Picchu’s entrance or one of the other delightful eateries in town.
To conclude your remarkable journey, you’ll board a train back to Cusco from the train station with one of our knowledgeable team members accompanying you. Upon arrival at Cusco’s railway station, we will ensure your safe transfer to your accommodation for an overnight stay in this captivating city.
DAY 5: Lima to Cusco
Your departure from Cusco will take place today, thus our staff will accompany you to the airport based on the time of your flight. Our program will end once you get to the airport.
