Our next destination is the town of Combapata, which we will reach after a two-hour van journey. Upon arrival, we will indulge in a delectable local breakfast consisting of nutritious cereals like quinoa, kiwicha, and maca. Following our satisfying meal, we will embark on a short 15-minute drive to reach the Combapata viewpoint. The “Queswachaca” bridge requires annual maintenance by four local communities in the month of June, because the straw (Ichu) used in its construction begins to decompose. The reconstruction is completed three days before the second Sunday of June, and the fourth day concludes with a folk festival, where you can share the traditions and customs that this community inherited from the Incas.
