Itinerary of the Ausangate 7 Lakes Day Hike

Pretour briefing: We provide you a full pretrip briefing at your accommodation in Cusco at 5:00 pm, the night before your trip begins; and you can take this opportunity to ask final questions and make any final preparations.

 

Day 1: Cusco – Pacchanta – Circuit 7 Lagoons – Cusco

Our Ausangate 7 Lakes Day Hike begins with the pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 3:00 am. Then, you will drive for 3 hours and 30 minutes in our private van to the town of Pacchanta. Along the way, you will pass by quaint villages and scenic views. Once you get to Pacchanta town, located at an elevation of 4,300m/ 14,108ft. Our chef will be waiting for us with the traditional music of Ausangate and with the nutritious breakfast for the expedition to the Lagoons of Ausangate Mountain, we are the only local company that knows the culture, experiences and traditions of Ausangate

 

Once having breakfast, we will then start the Ausangate Day Hike with the ascent until we reach the first lagoons of the Circuit of 7 Lagoons of the Ausangate. Some out of them are Azulcocha, Otorongococha, Pucacocha, Alqacocha, and Q’omercocha. Each lake has a beautiful view of the different mountains located in the Vilcanota mountain range.
